Astana railway station
The railway station of Astana, founded in 1929, has a long history of construction and many reconstructions. Astana Station acquired its modern appearance in 2004 after reconstruction of the park's base station and the construction of a new building - the capacity of the station increased by 300 seats and amounted to 1,800 passengers. The average daily capacity of the station is 7 thousand passengers per day. The modern station is equipped with the latest innovations - ticket terminals have come to the aid of the ticket offices, the security of passengers has been increased, video cameras have been installed, new escalators and stands with important information have appeared.
"Station" Astana is a major junction of railways. It is located at the intersection of the lines Petropavlovsk - Karaganda - Balkhash and Barnaul - Pavlodar - Astana - Kartaly - Magnitogorsk. There are also many direct routes to the largest cities of Kazakhstan. The central office of the national railway company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” is located in the city.

Nurly Zhol Station
Departure and arrival of trains to the new station of Astana "Nurly Zhol" began on June 1, 2017.
The railway station "Nurly Zhol" is a modern six-level building with an area of 100 thousand square meters. The first and second floors are equipped with parking spaces for 740 cars, the same number can be located on the adjacent territory of the station. On the third floor there is an exit to the platform, on the fourth floor there are comfortable waiting rooms and a mother and child room, on the fifth floor there are shops, cafes and restaurants, on the sixth - the administration of the station.
The maximum capacity of the station is up to 35 thousand passengers a day. Sixty percent of all trains are served at the new station "Nurly Zhol", the remaining forty percent at the old railway station in Astana.
